Costa Del Sol

Located on the magnificent Costa del Sol, just an hour's
drive east of Gibraltar, is Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort.
The resort is located directly on the Mediterranean Sea with
a private entrance to the beach area. In this resort it seems
that no expense has been spared. The villas are a mixture
of marble, granite, stucco and terra cotta. The corporation
owns a three-bedroom, three bathroom villa at this resort.
The resort is located approximately 10 kilometers east of
the town of Marbella. The closest airport is in Malaga, which
is a 45 minute drive away by super highway. The mountains
are no more than twenty minutes away and seem to reach down
to the sea. Marbella is an old Roman seaport and old town
Marbella has narrow streets with cobblestones and bricks.
Nearby are the mountain towns of Coin, Caseares and Ronda.
Both Seville and Granada are about two and a half to three
hours away by car.
While parts of the town of Marbella are quaint, the city
itself is very cosmopolitan with luxury apartments and condominiums
being built all around the town. While culturally different,
all of the usual things which Americans are accustomed to
in the US are available in Marbella. Shopping is very upscale.
There is a mall with a wonderful grocery store. Banks are
everywhere. Along the coast, English is spoken by a large
part of the population as well as French and German. Most
restaurant menus are written in four languages.
